Fundraisers
OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!! We are buried in fundraisers. How do you handle it? When I got the first I thought it was GREAT!!!! I would donate so my dd could participate. It was for a bikeathon. This was all of last week. The bikeathon is the 1st week in Oct. Today she came home with 4 more fundraisers pretzels, candy, cookies and cake. Then we went to dance and she has another fundraiser for cookies. How do you keep up? Do you just say straight up, no? I dont want my dd to feel left out but we are definitely not going door to door. Not to mention most of my friends have the same type of stuff with their kids. Grandma has 2 other grandkids too. What to do....

Re: Fundraisers
Honestly I just don't participate anymore. I don't need any of the overpriced stuff they sell that isn't necessarily practical for me. Now if they all sold Kidstuff books I would participate in that. I just throw the fundraiser stuff out, my kid has NO clue.

Re: Fundraisers
Maybe let people know you are doing the fundraiser, but don't press it. Sometimes, people look for those fundraisers to buy things so it's good that they know they can come to you. But, I wouldn't push it because then you are hitting the same people all the time

Re: Fundraisers
DD's school is doing Yankee Candles, so I picked up a couple of little things to give out as Christmas presents, and that's about it!

Re: Fundraisers
There is almost always candy available at work. So many coworkers have kids with fundraisers, so you'll usually find a box in the hall with a sign saying who it's for, and an envelope to put the money in. The candy I don't mind, since it basically sells itself. Hopefully I won't have to worry about "goods" to sell.....
