How does 2 y/o sit at your table?
Do you use a booster seat, high chair, nothing....
I have a high bar set so I hate to not have her sitting on anything bc its the chairs are higher than a regular chair.
Do I get a seat to put on it? Anyone recommend one?

Yeah see at our dining table she would be able to sit and be fine. But the problem is my kitchen set bc its a high table and high chairs.
Im confused what to do.

so true (I have like a country beige set with light fabric chairs!!! kill me now) and this is my DS too! We are starting to make him sit in the booster though, b/c he keeps standing on the chair b/c he can't reach the table fully. He fought me last night on it, but I stuck to my guns.
I do find he eats better when he's free to stand on his chair and eat though, so I'm still unsure!

OMG this is so true! We also have the high bar set and I HATE it now. I want to buy a new set so badly. My twins sit in boosters (the fisher price healthy something or other ones) because I feel the seats are too high. I hate they can't get on them themselves. At my parents' house they sit in a regular chair and can get on and off all by themselves.

We have these prince lionheart boosters. DS#1 is 5, DS#2 is 3. They've been using them since they were about 2.

Re: How does 2 y/o sit at your table?
We have the Fisher Price Space Saver highchair. When we all eat together he gets pushed up to the table, if it's just the boys eating I slide his chair next to Jacks.
When he does attempt to sit on one of my chairs he is all over the place. Up/Down/Up/Down. Drives me crazy. Mealtime is one of the very few times of the day that I have him on lockdown. I enjoy every last second of it.

Re: How does 2 y/o sit at your table?
He has been sitting at the dining table on a regular chair since he was a year - he had to be like his older sister :) and he also sits at the counter with a bar stool but I watch him.

Re: How does 2 y/o sit at your table?
My table is at bar height and there is a fairly large space between the seat bottom and the granite top. DD had to use the Summer booster (with the legs on it that let it "stand" up higher) until almost three...she is a pixie though. It's a backless booster seat but has a belt, which we didn't necessarily need. Now she still needs a very thick padded seat cushion with non slip grip on the bottom to give her an extra boost.

still in a high chair- the spacesaver. I'm keeping her in it as long as I possibly can. This kid does NOT sit unless strapped in!

Strapped in a booster, he can reach the table without it, but if he's not strapped in he'll keep getting on and off the chair.

Re: How does 2 y/o sit at your table?
She is refusing the high chair lately (and will literally unbuckle and jump out) so she has been sitting on a regular dining room chair. I use a washable place mat for under her plate. She is up and down more than I'd like but I don't know if a booster seat is the way to go so I might just keep her like this.

yup. this is DD. regular chair but up and down constantly. refuses to sit in the high chair at this point and I feel like she would be in and out of a booster too so I just deal. I would probably get a booster if my chairs were high though.

Re: How does 2 y/o sit at your table?
We have a high (bar height I guess) dining table set and just recently got a booster on amazon.
We got this one, it's cars theme (amazon also has a princess theme one) and it fits perfectly on the chair and we can either push her under so she eats on the table or use the tray.

Re: How does 2 y/o sit at your table?
I too have a bar height counter for the kitchen in which we eat. I could not find any booster seat that would recommend it be used at that height. We used to put her high chair right up to the counter without the tray. After that I used a summer booster for a month or so and then decided to let her sit on the chair. I did not like the way she coudl easily tip the chair with a booster on it. For the dining room I have a booster chair in which she only uses if she feels like it - I keep it out for all the little ones we have coming by. She does just fine just sitting on the seats without anything. Good luck!
