Diaper Pail Woes
We bought the Diaper Champ which worked great for about a year. It started to smell no matter how often we changed the bag. So, I decided to buy a new one, hoping this would cure the problem. It's worse. Is there any diaper pail out there that does not stink?

Re: Diaper Pail Woes
I just use a regular garbage can with a lid that pops up when you click down on it. I take Clorox santizing wipes to the whole thing every couple of weeks and after 13 months still no smell. I empty the can every other day...

Re: Diaper Pail Woes
We throw them out in the regular garbage. There is nothing that can hold a poop diaper for a week and not smell

Re: Diaper Pail Woes
I had the diaper champ and it worked well for almost the first year when I would change DS upstairs on his changer.
I tried bleaching it, baking soda, vinegar..NOTHING got the smell out. so i tossed it. i think they're all the same. I just toss them in the kitchen garbage which goes out every day anyway.

Re: Diaper Pail Woes
Depends on what we fed her! In all seriousness. She got to an age where her poops stunk. end of story.
We just took those outside. She was also pretty regular. Going only once a day (at school no less) so we didn't have an issue at home. Her wet diapers had to be put all the way in or they'd stink when you opened up the lid. Otherwise, nope. No issues.
We actually kept ours in our livingroom area. A short hall between her room, guest bathroom and the living room. Generally people didn't notice it or asked us what it was. LOL

Re: Diaper Pail Woes
We use diaper decor, and never smelled a thing till he started solids. We still love it, but we put a tub of something called "bad air sponge" in the bottom of the pail. its nontoxic, but is amazing at sucking up odors. I just let the whole thing air out once a week.
This thing, love it! I bought it at Fairways one day, then next week went back and bout 5 of them.

Re: Diaper Pail Woes
We use the Arm & Hammer diaper pail and after 1 year we have not had any smell issues at all. I really like it.
