Going out with friends tonight.....

We were invited to a party tonight so we are going to go and get out of the house.

We had the miscarriage a week ago.

Noone at this party knows that we were ever pregnant or what we went through.

Having some anxiety about "acting normal" and the dreaded - so what's new/what have you been up to question?

It might help to get out and see some folks but still kind of nervous.

maybe hanging out with folks that DONT know will be easier then with ppl that do know. Try to have a good time and get your mind off things and reconnect with friends.

I found being "fake" to be very tough, but it was good to get out of the house.

There's no shame in telling someone the truth when they ask how you are or what's new either. It got to a point with me where the lying was too much so depending on the relationship with the person I found it felt better to just tell them than to force myself to act normal.

Do whatever feels best for you!

If these are really good friends of yours I would open up to one or two...It really helped me to tell people and everyone was so supportive and uplifting about the whole situation. After my MC I just was not myself for a good two weeks..I couldn't hold it all in...
