tooth question - do fillings last forever? do they need to be re-filled?
Dentist mentioned some old fillings I had done back in 94 need to be re-filled.
I guess this is normal?

the filling can crack in places and when u get food or drink in there u will get decay

I'm in the dental field for 25 years and it is completley normal for fillings (and other dental work) to need replacing after several years. Everything we do in dentistry is only a repair, none of it lasts forever & its never as good as what you were born with.
