cutting tooth question

well it looks like DD is finally cutting her first tooth at almost 8 months!!!

I looks like a little blister, with solid white in it and a black dot. You can feel the tip of it. That's a tooth right? WHat's with the black dot??

Anyway how long does it take to come all the way through once you see it?

I'm kinda sad, I LOVE her gummy smile.

Re: cutting tooth question

It shouldn't be long a couple days until the tooth comes through.

They look adorable with the teeth though when they smile.

I'm not sure what the black dot is!!

Re: cutting tooth question

Not sure what the black dot is - when I see the red blister dot - for my son a tooth is about 4 weeks away - lol - my son's teeth take forever to descend. Thus why he is 2.5 and still needs 7 teeth and I was up all night with him!!

Seroiusly though, from friend's experiences I have heard 3days to a week or so.

Re: cutting tooth question

The black spot can be one of two things: either the edge of the tooth or a little blood from the tooth pushing up. I usually see a black line when DD is teething.
