special education preschool rec's please:)
My DD is currently enrolled in a 2 1/2 hr. program (15:1:1) at Kramer Learning Center. She is diagnosed PDD-NOS. She is high functioning (Verbal, cognitively funtioning is at age level) She has no behavioral issue but seems to be having some transitioning issues and prefers independent play, although she shows initial interest in peers has trouble maintainng and attending in age appropriate play. We are looking for a program change to increase her program from 2 1/2 hrs to 4 hrs. to address some of these needs. Her current school does not offer an integrated 4 hr class, only self-contained so we are looking for other programs that are 4 hr. integrated, high functioning on long islang. Any reccomendations would be MOST appreciated:) TIA!!

DS has a similar diagnosis and is attending the Leeds Center (they are part of the Brookville group of schools) in Manhasset. So far, I'm pretty happy, and I think the experience has been beneficial for him. The day runs 8:30-2:30.
He is in a 15-1-1 class and receives all his therapy there also. FM if you want more details!
