Who do I call? Possible injured dog on street?

I was driving and saw a dog who looked like he had an injured leg. No collar, looked like a rope that broke and he got loose.
When came around block again it was on someone's grass just laying there looking around. I couldn't get out of car bc DD was in car and I didn't know if he would try to bite.
I don't know who's dog it is. And no one was on street to ask.
I'm so upset. I've been crying.
DD is sleeping right but when she wakes I will go check where I saw him.
What should I do?

Call Animal Control or the non-emergency Police phone number. If he is injured he needs help and could potentially be a danger to others if he is scared or in pain and reacts badly to someone trying to help him.

Oh no! poor baby. What happened with him?

I searched the neighborhood for the dog. I didn't find him. I pray he is ok and went home or someone found him and is taking care of him if he is indeed hurt. I feel Terrible that I didn't help on the spot but I had my 2 year old with me in the car.
Feel so guilty. Been crying all day. But I'm going to try and think positive.
