How much for a full-time housekeeper / nanny?
What is the going rate for a full-time housekeeper / nanny for about 45 hours per week to care for 2 kids (1 and 3 years)?

Re: How much for a full-time housekeeper / nanny?
When I was interviewing nannies, they were just that...nannies. They weren't housekeepers and really only cleaned up after the kids. No laundry or general cleaning.
The price per hour was anywhere from $12/hr to $20/hr. Most that I interviewed were at the higher end, but I did find some at the lower end.

I don't know the "going rate" but we looked into this two years ago and we found $600/wk to be the norm -- and that was with minimal housekeeping (kids' laundry, meal prep/clean-up, take care of the dog).
We would have had a NB and 2yo.

Re: How much for a full-time housekeeper / nanny?
I was a nanny a year ago for a family with 3 kids and a dog. I did the kids wash, cleaned the living room and kitchen, took out the trash and recycles, did the dishes, got the kids ready for school, took them off the bus, did homework with them, and made them dinner. I got paid $90 a day. Not as much as other nannies because the older two were in school all day so I just worked a few hours with them, the youngest was 3 when I started so I was with him the whole day.

Re: How much for a full-time housekeeper / nanny?
I am doing a nanny share with my brother, so we have a nanny who watches my 5 month old now and in a month will watch mine and my (then) 3 month old nephew. For now since it is just my DD, the nanny does all the laundry (including ours), does light cleaning, makes dinner and takes care of the dog. Hopefully she still has time to do housework when my nephew starts coming!
We interviewed a ton of nannies and the going rate (for 2 babies) was in the 700-750 range. There were a few for less and a few for more, but they varied greatly in their experience and what they were willing to do around the house. I think you can find someone in the 600-650 range, since the above numbers are for two infants.
Good luck!

It's cheaper to get a live in au pair.
My sister looked into hiring a nanny/housekeeper and the average rate she was quoted was $600 - $800 a week
