Heartburn..HELP!!! Also still bed taste in mouth

Is there anything else besides Tums I can take for this heartburn???? With my DS I didnt get it til the end and this one its been since 2 months but really kicking my butt the last month. I dont even have to ea anything

Plus the bad taste in my mouth hasnt stopped. I cant suck on mints/candy anymore, it started to make it worse and I brush my teeth after everytime I eat. I must have the cleanest teeth ever. Doc said it should be gone with in the next 2 weeks when I get into my 4 month but, I cant deal.
I also drink tons of water to try to keep it out and there are many times when I have to spit

My doc suggested pepcid complete or zantac for heartburn. I take pepcid and it definitely helps more than the tums, especially long term. As for the bad taste, I found jolly ranchers helped. Feel better!

I also take Pepcid and it works really well. I have really bad heartburn, especially since being on bed rest and it really does the trick. You can take it before you eat to prevent it or after you eat for relief.

i took zantac and worked my way up to pepcid.
Pepcid has been a life saver

The heartburn and taste in mouth I'm still dealing with at almost 36 weeks, I just chew gum and brush my teeth a lot like you do, the heartburn never really goes away, just watch what you eat, some foods make it worse!

I can totally relate. I am 20weeks and this heartburn is kicking my butt I have no real suggestions since I just really only take Tums but I find that doesnt really work either. It seems like Pepcid seems to be the majority here.

The pharmacist told me to eat an apple and drink apple cider vinegar. I tried the apples at night before bed some days it helps other days Im still waking at 2am taking a tums. I carry them with me everywhere. I was also told to cut out what was causing me to get heart burn. I think chocolate is giving me the hardest time and thats all I want. She said tums was the best thing to take.

Brush your teeth with arm and hammer baking soda toothpaste, but non whitening, it neutralizes the akali in your mouth, the hormones are throwing off the acidity in your mouth. I had such a horrible taste it itself would make me get sick, I'm 18wks and some sugary items still leave an awful taste in my mouth, the toothpaste tastes bad but it'll work until the next time u eat something. I swear it works

I had heartburn almost everyday with my first. I'm only 6w now and its already started, not that bad yet though. Medicine never helped, tums made me feel worse! The only thing that helped was cereal with milk, milkshakes, ice cream. I hate milk by itself so I had to drink it with other things. Water makes it sooo much worse!

Zantac worked wonders for me with my first pregnancy. I had horrible heartburn for the first 20 weeks or so.
