I lieu of gifts...
DS teacher said they would appreciate a donation instead if me purchasing them gifts. I am going to be donating toys to their school drive for local families and giving a check as well that will be used to buy supermarket gc for local families. Do you think $50 is enough?

Yes. I did a $40 gift with a $40 match from DHs employer to PJ Library in honor of the school's director. I am giving $10 each to the 4 teachers as hanukkah presents. I think $50 is a great donation in lieu of gifts.
