How long did your pre-op testing last?
I'm going for my pre-op testing tomorrow for my d&c. It's scheduled for 12:35, so I'm planning to just take a long lunch break. For those of you that have done it, how long were you there?

I did it around 4pm and it took forever. I didnt get out of there till 7. They were short staffed. All they had to do was take blood and ask a zillion questions. Hopefully yours takes less time!

Mine took just about an hour. I was at LIJ not sure which hospital you are going to be at. They took blood, asked me a bunch of questions, my name, birthday and what procedure I was having done a million time. And I have to say the worst part was them asking me so many times what procedure I was having done. I wanted to scream you know why I am here is it really necessary for you to keep reminding me.

I am no help -- they did all the pre-op testing the same day as my D&C --- sorry you are going through this

Same here. Took some blood and took BP about 1/2 hr before I was sent to OR.

I was there for an hour although the actual testing part was only 20-30 minutes. They just spoke to me about the procedure, took blood pressure and blood. Good luck!

Thanks ladies. I'm going to Mercy Hospital and leaving work at around 11:45 to get there. I'm having a tough time today - it's becoming real that I have to actually deal with this now. And on top of that, I think my body is actually starting to do this naturally, as I've been cramping and spotting a lot. I just sincerely hope I hold out until my appointment on Friday.
