NYE plans?
Anyone have NYE plans?
DH and I have nothing in mind as of yet. Last year we threw a party, but my heart just wasn't in it this year.
I was thinking of doing the Emerald Nuts run through Central Park but it's $55/person if you're not a member of the Road Runners...which is $110 for DH and I...to freeze our butts off? FUNK DAT.
Thought about dinner with some friends...a place we go to all the time has a good deal, plus we know the food is great, but OF COURSE one friend is pulling a hissy fit over it so...eh.
I'm honestly thinking of either going to the fireworks in Grand Army plaza or just drinking wine with The Honeymooners or Twilight Zone marathons...
ETA: Unless by some Festivus miracle, I get tickets for Patti Smith's show downtown.

Looking for a bar someplace on the island. We're kind of over the 4AM drunk train on New Years.
Pay one price open bar would be good (See other thread  ) Open to suggestions!

New Years day is much more fun... going out for Red/Green day in Rockaway to the Wharf & The Irish Circle.

I mentioned this on the other thread but my sister is coming for a few days and we're going to do some crafts, go out to eat, drink and go for a long run (not necessarily in that order!)
Her SO and my DH are doing guy things.

DH and i plan to go out to a nice dinner, and watch the ball drop from the couch afterwards. If we don't fall asleep before midnight, that is.

DH and I are going over to a friends' house for their annual NYE house party. They are also CF (both are gay guys) and they will be hosting us, and another couple who has kids, but their kids are all teenagers so will not be there since they will be in Times Sq or at bars/clubs..etc.

My birthday is New Years Day, so DH is taking me to dinner for it on NYE (the place I want to go to is closed on New Years Day). I can't wait to have baked stuff lobster!
After we'll probably head to my sisters. Her DH has to work late, so we usually go over and play board games with her and the kids *gasp* and have apps.

That sounds like fun. I would wear both colors too!  I might have to check it out, though I do get cranky in cold weather and the motivation level is LOW when it comes to doing anything outside of the house.
