Re: NO SPERM: WTH! How is this possible?
I haven't dealt with this quite yet but I am pretty sure that I am in the same boat. We are awaiting DH's SA results and also super small sample for some reason...and I think its going to come back the same way (based on fact that I've been checked and all fine). Luckily, theres a few things they can do to fix a blockage and/or improve the situation. On the semi-bright-side, at least you found a problem and are able to try to fix it!

Not saying that this is or isn't true in your case, but I recently saw a post on one of the boards that this happened to someone but then they found out it was a lab error.
Sorry I don't have any experience myself with this one.

Re: NO SPERM: WTH! How is this possible?
This happened to friend of mine. It turned out her DH was born without a vas deferens. After some tests, they found out that he did indeed have sperm but they would have to be extracted. They really liked the urologist they saw. If you want his name just let me know. Good luck!!

That was my DH. His first SA wasn't through our RE, it was through Quest I think. They didn't analyze it right away (they did it 8 or 9 hours later) and from what I understood from my RE the sperm dies after a few hours and enzymes in the seminal fluid break down the sperm, so there was literally nothing by then. That's why my DH had no sperm, but he had a more normal sized sample.
Does he have an appointment with a urologist?
I know it's hard, but try not to stress until he sees a urologist Many people on these boards (and one I know IRL) have has successfully pregnancies when their DH had no sperm in the ejaculate

Re: NO SPERM: WTH! How is this possible?
My DH's sperm has low movement and is not shaped that well. So...I wanted to tell you that my RE told me that the sperm that is released is older sperm it was made I want to say months ago. Maybe,...with the new cholesterol medication, your DH's sperm will be better. PRAYING FOR YOU!

Re: NO SPERM: WTH! How is this possible?
Just sent you FM. I'm dealing with this right now and there are at least 2 other girls on this site right now facing this, as well.
Please realize there are still options for you and your hubby. This is not your final diagnosis - just the first step in your journey.

Re: NO SPERM: WTH! How is this possible?
My DH also has a zero sperm count. He has CBAVD, but there are several possible reasons for this. I'm running out but FM with questions. My DH's diagnosis is super rare, but on the very off chance he has the same thing, I have a lot of information.
Either way, even if there are no sperm in his sample, there is a good chance he still has sperm in his testicles. This is the situation we had and had to move to IVF. I am now 25 weeks pregnant with twins.
I know the wait is horrible, but don't get too upset until you see the urologist on Wednesday. Good Luck!!

Re: NO SPERM: WTH! How is this possible?
crashing - my sister and bil went through this. he has a blockage in the vas deferens, so the little sperm that he does have needed to be surgically extracted. after multiple ivf's they have 2 beautiful and healthy children. i hope you get some answers soon!! good luck
