Re: Compression tights/shorts/socks/etc.

I live for mine compression pants in the winter--in fact I just wore them on a 10-miler this morning. They are not very bulky but they keep you warm. A major benefit of is that they keep the thigh muscles warm to prevent muscle strain and fatigue.

As for socks, I wear compression socks after my long runs to maintain circulation. They also help your calves from tightening up.

Re: Compression tights/shorts/socks/etc.

I first bought CW-X Women's Stabilyx Tights after my IT Band injury - to help support the knee. Let me tell you, I notice a BIG difference in my long runs when I wear these and when I don't. There is like no recovery when I wear these. They are amazing.

I also have a few pairs of Skins Calf tights and socks. They are great too for warmer weather, since you get warm in the tights. I wore these for my marathon and honestly the ONLY muscle that wasn't sore were my calves. Skins calf tights

Here's the info taken from cw-x's website. They really are the best and worth the high price tag:

WOMEN'S STABILYX TIGHTS - BLACK

The Stabilyx tights provide optimum targeted support to the core and knees. They're ideal for runners, for activities with lateral motion and for athletes seeking our best form of knee support. The patented CW-X Support Web™ bands together the muscles and ligaments of the lower leg to stabilize the knee and reduce vibration for increased efficiency. The CW-X Support Web™ also harnesses the midsection, supporting the lower abdominals, hips and back to channel power through the core. Variable compression facilitates circulation during and after activity, minimizing lactic acid build-up so that you can be active longer and recover faster. Six reflective flash strips and reflective logo provide 360-degree visibility for nighttime activities.

I wear these as well and they make such a huge difference, especially for long runs. I always say that I feel like I have bionic legs lol
