8mo suddenly not interested in solids
Just wondering if anyone else has gone through this. My 8 almost 9mo son is no longer interested in eating cereals and purees. He only wants his bottles. This has been going on for about a week now. As soon as he sees the bowl he gets upset and shakes his head no. When I put some food on the spoon he waves his arms and spits. Is this just a phase? Should I be trying a different brand of food? Or should I just continue offering without putting pressure on him and wait the phase out? Any ideas?

Is he teething? What about more solid foods, like puffs or pastina? It might be possible that he is bored with having the same thing, maybe try changing it up. What happens if you give him the spoon to try and feed himself?
DD and I have power struggles all the time and she is 9 months!

have you tried finger foods? My DS started this recently, he's 9 months old. I began finger foods and I sneak in a spoon here and there and it's been working.

Same thing happened to us this month, but I noticed when we were out and I gave her the squeeze package she'd chow down. I started giving her small pieces at home she could feed herself and problem solved! It was an independence thing. While she eats (really plays with her food) I can sneak in bites on the spoon too.
