19 months is great for Gymboree.

DS is almost 3 now and we don't like it so much anymore for him now. It is great for toddlers though.

eta: All those places offer free trials. I would try out My Gym, Gymboree and Little Gym. We liked My Gym and Jody's Gym best when we were in NY. Now we like Little Gym.

we go to play and learn 4 - DS is 16 months. The classes are great. The price includes unlimited open gym play time which is great for the winter. We did Little Gym also and I wasn't a fan

My son is 18 months and in level 4 and we have been going since he was 4 months. I will be honest in my opinion Gymboree depends on where you go and who your teacher is. We LOVE our teacher and would not still be going there if not for her!!! But I don't think all Gymborees are created equal! Which one are you looking into?

We like plainview because miss Michele is the best Gymboree teacher out there!!!

It's 45 min, class starts with welcome song, then whatever the skill of the week is- under/over or jumping or side by side etc. -there are a bunch of activities to demonstrate the skill....then parachute/circle/bubbles time with singing an winding down and then the kids flock to miss Michele fOr their gymbo stamps!

Woodbury is a nicer prettier location but plainview has miss Michele :) also plainvew is in a school building which i like because one day he'll have to go to school and this might help him realize that school is fun ?!? It's also a smaller area which means safer (easier!) keeping an eye on your child!

Let me know if you have any other questions!

We love Gymobree and I agree about Miss Michelle! She used to be at our location in East Northport and we took her classes- She is absolutey wonderful. The teachers are what make any program terrific...or lousy.
