Re: Moms of Feb/March/April babies - FIRST birthday planning

My dd will be 1 on April 9 and I haven't started. We want to do something big because we didn't do a christening. Can u guys recommend places in Nassau? Thanks sooooo much!
That is the same reason we are doing a big first birthday party. I rented the Memorare Knights of Columbus in Seaford and I am using their catering.

We decided just to do a small family thing. If we invited friends it would just be too many people - almost 20 small children alone.

Re: Moms of Feb/March/April babies - FIRST birthday planning
So DS' party is in just under a month, and I have no idea what theme we're going with I'm dragging DH out to the party stores this weekend to try and figure something out.

Re: Moms of Feb/March/April babies - FIRST birthday planning
DS turns one May 11th. We just booked his party today at Donovan's in Bayside. Both DH and I come from huge families with tons of aunts, uncles, and cousins, and we want our close friends there too, so in total we are inviting 80 people. His christening was a small backyard party at my parents house with 30 people so I guess this is why I am justifying it. I haven't thought of a theme yet but right now the only thing he recongizes is Sesame St. because that is the only show I put on for him. So maybe Sesame St., or just the generic "1" theme. We will probably have a magician or something of the sort because we will have about 15 kids under age 10. That is as far as I have gotten, but I hope to do more planning this weekend!

we've booked the AOH hall in Babylon for April 14 and will have about 60 people! We're going to do the food ourselves and we're having my SIL's friend do face painting. I have to decide on a theme and how over the top I want to go with games, decorations, etc! LOL

Re: Moms of Feb/March/April babies - FIRST birthday planning
DS will be 1 on March 1st and the thought makes me want to vomit his party is at our house March 4th. We are doing an under the sea theme. Andrea P designs did invite which we should have in a few days and she's doing all the decorations. Cookie lady is doing favors for adults and the cake. I bought pails and water toys for all the babies coming. I have the menu planned. We are inviting around 70 people. Couldn't afford to do another big party out after his Christening. I'm hoping to do a photo shoot with Elle bebe photography but I waited til the last minute and we are having problems figuring out a date that works for both of us. Not sure what we are doing for his present yet.
