Anonymous with a question...levels dropped?
Sorry..I have family on here and don't want them to know....so I'm posting anonymously.
I am currently 5.5 weeks pregnant. I had a bloodtest on Monday and my hCG level was 999 and Progesterone was 17.
Bloodwork from Wednesday hCG levels at 2459 and Progesterone at 13.1. I'm worried about the dropping progesterone levels. Should I be? The nurse called me with the results. I had bloodwork done today, but won't know the results until Monday. They scheduled me for a sono for Tuesday. I'll be spending all weekend worrying. Any advice?

is there any way you can call back the nurse with your concern about dropping progesterone? I would think if she was alarmed she would tell you to go on progesterone supps but I would call just to be sure... congrats and good luck!

progesterone drops at any time of the day. it may have been at a low point when they tested it the second time. If anything they may just have you take suppositories for a few weeks to help supplement the progesterone. I was on them for a while.

i agree. progesterone levels fluctuate throughout the day, so this could just be a fluke. that's probably why the drew blood again and scheduled you for a sono. maybe your level will shoot back up, but if it drops or stays the same, as long as they see what they should on the sono, they may just put you on suppositories. it happens to a lot of girls. try not to worry
