How do you not worry so much
About SIDS? I somehow got through this with DS a few years ago but some bad things have happened to my family this past year that I am 25 weeks pregnant and worried about SIDS again. I hate being pregnant and I'm afraid I will not enjoy my DD's first year of life. It is everywhere:(

Re: How do you not worry so much
a supportive husband! Also, the knowledge and wisdom from our mothers! I know I slept on my belly as a baby with blankets and bumpers galore. But nowadays, people are more cautious and our worries are more.
Try to calm your fears by setting up a monitor (even if your in the same room as baby) to see baby's breathing. Keep baby warm with pjs and leave the sleeping area free of anything loose.
My DH would laugh at me for being able to write this since I was an emotional wreck from the minute we got home from the hospital until about 2 weeks ago! But I think I'm getting better ;) I hope at least!
And I don't know if you do, but I pray quite a lot and feel better knowing I have many angels to watch over our baby
It'll get easier

Re: How do you not worry so much
after having 2 mc before ds we were especially freaked out(plus when I was 10 a girl in my 4-h group came home from a meeting to find out that happened to their little sibling..
We were just extra careful - no blankets - then we finally got the breathable blanket - we used sleep sacks and layers to keep the baby warm overnight....
We got the breathable bumpers(even though they are less fashionable).
