BTDT - city mini questions
City mini city mini gt City mini elite
Which do you have/which would yoy recommend? Why? As a 1st time mom, im not great with recognizing the differences, pros/cons etc. All i can tell is the weight differences, and the foot vs hand brake. I prefer the hand brake, but is it worth $100 more?
Also, which accessories are must-haves and which are a waste of $$?
TIA

Re: BTDT - city mini questions
IMO gt all the way. The wheels are too big on the elite and plastic on the regular.
There is a killer comparison of all three on the gt Amazon review.

Re: BTDT - city mini questions
I got the elite and i LOVE IT! The tires are big, but great when your on terrain other than the sidewalk. I love the piece that goes out for the feet for my little guy...bc he is still small and his little legs dont have to half dangle! If the price isnt an issue, I would go with the Elite :)

Re: BTDT - city mini questions
just got the GT and its great, the ride is smoothe and its not as big or cumbersome as the elite. The guy at BBB told us that the wheels on the regular citi mini start to wear after 2 years, not sure if thats BS or not but I do love that the GT wheels seem more substantial. ETA: the GT is just a few pounds heavier than the mini. its a noticeable difference when you fold it up but its not a huge difference

Re: BTDT - city mini questions
i never even knew there were 3 different kinds. I have the regular and really like it. I personally would never spend an extra $100 on a hand break.
I also got the parent console i feel thats a must though you probably dont have to get the baby jogger brand i also like the child tray.

Re: BTDT - city mini questions
We have the regular city mini. I don't know much sbout the other types. I would definitely get the child snack tray for once the baby is older and a parent console. You don't necessarily need to get the baby jogger brand for the console.

Re: BTDT - city mini questions
I have the Baby Jogger 2011 City Mini Single Stroller. I like the stroller alot. It's very easy to fold and lightweight. Those were my two big things and safety of course.

Re: BTDT - city mini questions
Admittedly...I'm a stroller wh0re! My 4 month old has 4.
My favorite and least expensive of the bunch is the City Mini- lightweight, TRUE one hand fold- the best. basket is tough to reach but I hang my diaper bag using hooks, attached a velcro toybar for myself. Baby loves his tiny love stroller toy that's attached to the front, a win all around.
If i had to recommend just 1 stroller, City Mini hands down.

Re: BTDT - city mini questions
I have a 2009 City Mini - the wheels are definitely not plastic nor have they worn out. It's still in excellent condition (& for sale ). Accessory wise, I couldn't live without the parent console or the snack tray. Really excellent stroller!

Re: BTDT - city mini questions
I just bought the regular city mini 2 days ago actually. It's still in the box but when I tested them in the store i personally felt a big difference in weight between the one I got and the new gt. I'm small and a few pounds makes a big difference not to mention the exta $100!

Re: BTDT - city mini questions
I love my City Mini. I don't have any experience with the other 2, but the regular is very light and easy to fold and manuver. Love it!!!
