Period less than one week after retrieval (FET planned)
I had my egg retrieval last Tuesday, April 17th and started my period just now. We are doing a FET due to my history of OHSS, but I wasn't expecting anything for at least another week. Has this happened to anyone? I have a follow up appointment on this coming Tuesday but am not sure if it's affects the protocol for the FET, which is planned for next month. I'm expecting to go on birth control pills, but doesn't that have to be during the first few days of the next cycle? Just worried that this will mess things up and I will have to wait another cycle. I plan on calling my RE in the morning but just wanted to see what you ladies thought. Thanks!

From what I understand, when your ovaries are stimmed you have a lot of hormones - but all are synthetic. Your body doesn't know it has to make progesterone, which is what keeps your lining from shedding. Without the natural progesteron surge, it makes sense that your levels dropped and you have AF.
Call the RE tomorrow and talk to them about your next steps.

So I spoke with my nurse today and she said it was normal because I had a Lupron trigger so AF comes much sooner. I go in tomorrow for an ultrasound - hopefully we can start prepping for the FET right away!
