Special Needs GTG- Suffolk
Is anyone interested in having a GTG? It would a good opportunity to meet some other Mom's going through the same trials and tribulations. We can exchange info on schools, therapists, doctors and have fun too.
Any suggestions on when/ where to meet?

Re: Special Needs GTG- Suffolk
I'm in....
DS has therapy in the morning and I have a small 2bdr coop but I'd be willing to have people over (feel free to utilize my therapist for social integration!). I'm in Selden. Thursdays and Fridays are out though because I work.
Otherwise, afternoons work for us too or if we are going to meet somewhere around Selden in the morning, i can get DS' therapist to travel and do his session wherever we meet.

Re: Special Needs GTG- Suffolk
I am in Port Jeff Station and would love to get a play date going. DS is going to be 4 on Satruday and is diagnosed with PDD.

Re: Special Needs GTG- Suffolk
How about at a bouncy place since I am sure all the kids have lots of energy. Or maybe a library?

A bouncy place is good. Chris would be all over the place at the library

Re: Special Needs GTG- Suffolk
A Monday, Tuesday or Friday afternoon or Saturday works for us. A library or playground might be better for those of us that have physically delayed children. My DS is just starting to walk so I am not sure if he could do a bouncy place. What about the Middle Country library? I haven't been there but heard they have a huge play space and an outdoor area as well. This is somewhat centrally located.
Do afternoons work for everyone? We usually have our school/services in the morning.

That library is really good. Afternoons or weekends are good for me.
