how long to wait before TTC?

My OB said to wait 2 cycles but is there a benefit to waiting longer? Would that increase my chances of a successful pregnancy?

the longer you wait the more your lining heals and your cycles get back on track so its easier to know how far along you are when you do get pregnant again. Also emotional healing.

Im on month 6 trying so Im hoping Im right!

We were told to wait 1 cycle. We got pregnant again right after the 1st cycle and I had another another mc, however it was not related to getting pregnant so quickly. Both pregnancies were Trisomies so according to my dr., both mc's were just flukes.

I know people say they need to heal emotionally before trying again, but trying again was part of the healing for me. I could barely even wait the 1 cycle to start again. Everyone is different though- go with what your dr. tells you and when you feel ready.

I understand about trying again being a part of the healing. . . I understand now when people say that they lose their innocence even after one M/C.

I know that I cannot compare to what some of you ladies have been through, but I didn't realize how lucky I was with my first pregnancy! Pregnancy will never be the same for me.

After my first m/c my OB told us to wait one cycle. It was about two months (5 weeks for first period and then another month for cycle to complete). We got pregnant again after the second cycle.....unfortunately that also ended in m/c; I just had my d&c this morning. Back to square one again

With my 1st MC, i was 23 weeks and I was told to wait 2 cycles mnimum. I was pg after 1 cycle and had a healthy DD.

With my 2nd MC, I was 11.5 weeks, I was told I could start trying right away, as long as I was emotionally ready.

Ive waiting the exact length of time i was told every single time, some times longer. And it still hasnt worked out... There is no proof that waiting helps, as there is no proof that not waiting will cause problems either.

I just had a MC as well at 9w after having a perfect DS who is 17mo. My OB wants me to wait 3 cycles but I am so traumatized that I honestly can't see myself TTC for at least 6+ months. I'm even debating going back on BCP even though I needed IF treatments to conceive both times. Like you said, pregnancy will NEVER be the same for me again. I didn't realize just how much of a miracle my DS is.

I just had my fist MC at 11 1/2 weeks. I had my D&C this past Friday 6/1

My doctor said to wait one cycle. Right now i cant even see myself trying again, I am an emotional mess. I hope it gets better. My doctor told me that I have a better chance of getting pregnant in the next few months because I will be more fertile bc of the pregnancy.

We were also told to wait 2 cycles which we have always done.. I have heard from my DR that it waiting at least one is best, but there is no proof waiting longer is beneficial? We ahve had a lot of M/C, so I am not sure..
