Re: thunder ?

not my dog, but my mom's. He would cower in the bathroom during thunderstorms and fireworks after a few years. He wasn't like that as a puppy but as he got older, yeah, he was scared.

Re: thunder ?

Some dogs get worse as they get older. My dog always hated it.

My sisters dog gets really bad. Vet said to give him a children's benadryl to calm him down. It helps

Re: thunder ?

My older dog is a Golden Retriever and she HATES thunderstorms...but recently I saw a doggie jacket in Petco that says it's guaranteed to calm them during storms...

Re: thunder ?

Our Ali was like that, she was always fine with those things, but once fireworks were really loud nearby when she was around 3 or 4 ,and after that she was afraid of fireworks and thunderstorms every time (until she couldn’t really hear them anymore!). Maybe there was one experience that was too close for comfort?
