refusing solids all of a sudden?
My 8month old has been eating solids since he was 4 months. He is a great eater. Over the last week or so he has been gradually refusing the spoon more and more and only accepting the bottle? He does not have any teeth yet... however his gums are white now. Could teething be the problem?? Help!

Re: refusing solids all of a sudden?
I would definitely blame the start of teething on his lack of wanting to eat. The same thing happened to my DD.
Don't worry, he'll want to eat again soon. You can get some Humphrey's or Hyland's to help soothe the gums. If he seems in pain then move up to orajel and/or Motrin.

Def sounds like teething. That's actually how I know DD is teething badly - she refuses to eat. Last night she had mum mums for dinner because they felt so good on her teething gums. She just flung every type of normal food I tried giving her.
