Re: Which books have you re-read because they are that good?

I am a big re-reader. i sometimes feel bad about it because there are SO many books out there to read, but you notice new things depending on where you are in life.

I read The Pigman at least a dozen times

The Catcher in the Rye maybe 5 times

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (officially my favorite book) about 4 times.

The Harry Potter Series. I re-read the whole series each time a new book came out and then once the whole thing was out, I read all 7 again i think twice before each of the movies of Book 7. I started reading when Book 4 came out so i have read books 1-4 at least 6 times.

I read the Hunger Games trilogy twice. Once when i first read it and again when the movie came out.

I think I read Forrest Gump a few times.

I think I read Interview with the Vampire twice and I kind of want to finish the series but in order to do so I need to start over since it's been YEARS.

I read Angela's Ashes a few times

I've read the Unofficial Guide to WDW Cover to Cover a few times in a few different editions. Does that count?

Sooo many things.

To Kill a Mockingbird (used to read every other year)

The Catcher in the Rye

Harry Potter (every time a new book was released, I'd start from the beginning so it would all be fresh in my mind).

Little Women

A TON of Stephen King books (The Stand, The Shining, The Body (my all time favorite), Shawshank Redemption, Dolores Claiborne...too many to list)

Scarlett Feather (Maeve Binchy)

These are just a few. But if I really like a book, I'll re-read it to death. And when I was a kid - forget it. Over and over and over.

I am not big into re-reading because there are so many good books out there to read.

But there are a few I have reread, especially when I was younger.

Harry Potter 1-7
Wicked
Little Woman
Phantom Tollbooth

I'm a big re-reader. I read my favorites over and over again. It's like going back and visiting friends.

exactly this!
dh thinks i'm nuts for doing so, especially when i cry over the same scene again and again! i know it's coming but it gets me every time

I feel the same!

Books I reread:

Anne of Green Gables

Gone with the Wind

Little Women

As a HS teacher I have books that I'm required to read with the kids and some I hate but I always look forward to teaching/rereading:

And Then There were None

The Catcher in the Rye

I've re-read the Harry Potter series basically once a year.

Others are Gone with the Wind, The HObbit, and The Fellowship of the Ring.

I keep meaning to re-read some John Jakes books like North and South, but I just never have the time.

I cannot re-read books, for some reason!!
So the only ones have been the Harry Potter series, the Hunger Games series and Dviergent by Veronica Roth (rereading the next in the series is on my list!)
