Mine's a 2nd time registry on amazon, so it's just the stuff I need for #2. I'm happy to share it with you but it probably won't help all that much... did I send you the email I made with the pictures and links to "useful baby stuff" that I made for another friend? It has a lot of the big stuff on it!

I'm going to BBB to register tomorrow while my mom watches DD. I also did one at Pottery Barn the other day! But really these are all just for the discounts because I don't expect anyone to get me anything. Plus it's kinda fun making lists of all the day dream stuff I'd love to buy for my new son if I could.

I just wanted to say, despite the issues in my pregnancy please continue to post your updates here!! I don't want anyone to think I will feel badly reading about "normal" pregnancies, I rejoice in every single one of your healthy babies!! Jags, girl names are so hard! I'd like something that is uncommon without being weird. DH and I can't really seem to agree on much!

Most of the list I made is actually other little stuff you don't have -- like DD's favorite toys, and the little things I never even thought about needing before she was born! But I'll go through the BBB website and post them here for you with links (the links in my doc are all for amazon):

Aden & Anais swaddler blankets -- useful for so much more than just swaddling! They are amazing, huge, multi-purpose, soft (get softer with every wash) and very useful:

Dr. Brown's Formula Mixing Pitcher - I can't find it on BBB's website, but it's an absolute must if you're going to use powder formula. I thought I was going to BF but my boobs didn't work and as soon as we started with formula I got this and it was wonderful. You can premix a few servings of formula and let the bubbles dissolve naturally that way:

Not sure if the first aid kit on your BRU registry has a rectal thermometer but you'll definitely need that. The ped's office doesn't accept any other method of taking a temp (at least ours doesn't).

This product is great for storing powder for formula mixing on the go and then later for putting puffs and snacks in -- so it's useful for a really long time!

Another thing I suggest registering for is bowls, plates, baby feeding spoons, and food storage (unless you're not planning to make any of your own food). You usually start with infant feeding between 4 and 6 months, which comes up before you know it!


For very first feeding, I highly recommend this set:

It's a great shape to hold onto while feeding, and the spoons that come with it are perfect for first meals because they're super soft and gummy. It's also really convenient that they have lids!

It's really nice to have a lot of these things on hand because even though you don't usually use them until after month 4, it's nice not having to run out and make a huge major shop again when feedings start. It's great to have some of it in the house. (I actually used my registry completion coupon to get most of my feeding items.)

Also I didn't see a bottle brush on there, but you'll need one or two of them (they usually last around 3 months before they get scuzzy and you want to replace them).

thanks sandra... i added a few feeding things as per your suggestions and the aden & anais blankets. plus a few other things from other people's suggestions. i'll keep the toys you suggested in mind for christmas. i'm sure i'll get some random things people pick out, and christmas is only 2 months after my due date so i'll definitely need to get things then!
eta- yes a tub was on my registry (already purchased apparantly lol) and i'm not planning on making food so i don't need the storage containers.

How is everyone? I am having some week, got tangled feet with my little dog and fell, tore ligament in my ankle and I am crutches. Which is no joke when 23 weeks along, my center of balance is not great. hoping it heals soon! Thankfully baby girl is ok,I took the brunt of the fall on my ankle :x

I don't want to be weird or anything, but I think it would hurt too much to remove my due date altogether from the October list....if it's okay with you all I think I'll add Grace's delivery date next to my original due date, I hope that's not too depressing, but I'd feel better about that instead of removing myself completely.....

Also wanted to say, I have no problem whatsoever to read your posts here and update anything for you all on the original list!! I sincerely meant it when I said I am cheering you all on! And I can only hope that by the time October is here I am pregnant again Thanks all for making the October mommies such a fun group, we have GOT to be one of the chattiest groups ever, 700+ posts and still another 3 months to go!! When you are ready, you will be back here (no hurry sweetie) and it will be different. But you will never forget your baby Grace. She will forever and always be your first child.

Helen, Grace will forever be your baby girl, and she will be with you and your DH in your hearts always. If listing her delivery date is what feels right to you, then that is exactly what should be done.
