sad...need advice

So I think I'm having a m/c ...I started bleeding yesterday and having cramps, like a period but slightly worse( i get very mild periods), bleeding continues today and still cramping

I haven't done another test...I feel like it's over, I don't "feel" pregnant anymore and I just have the feeling, especially with all the bleeding and cramping. I guess this is the chemical pregnancy I have been hearing about? I tested about 5 days before my missed period and bleeding started on the 3 day late point for my AF

I am so sad and upset, it's such a huge let down. I know I was only about 5 weeks but it still hurts Chat Icon So many mixed emotions!!

Do I need to go see my OB? I feel like he is not going to be able to do anything, if it's over it's over

And also, does this count as AF? or will I bleed again as AF? If this counts as AF, then is it the beginning of my next cycle?

Thanks for listening and reading all that

i'm so sorryChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon it hurts no matter how far along you are.
i would give your dr a call and let them know what happened - they will probably bring you in for bloodowork. unfortunately i think many women experience chemical pregnancies, and just think it is AF, and have no idea they were ever pregnant - in which case, you should probably get AF on time next cycle and can just continue TTC. but i'd double check with your dr.

I am very sorry, it is a difficult thing to deal with at any stage in the pregnancy!! Definitely give your doctor a call, they will know best what you should do. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Yes you should let your OB know what happened. This should go in your medical records.
