Spin off to moms of 5-7 yr olds

What time do they get up during school and summer? I still have so many sleep issues with my 6 yr old DD and my DH thinks she needs to get up earlier.

Kerri is 6 and my early riser. She is up at 6:30 most mornings but occupies herself in her room reading or playing. I try to put her to bed late but she still gets up early! I think the latest she has slept is 8am.

My DS gets up between 5:30 and 6 am.

My DD is usually up right before 6 am.

Considering I leave at 5:50am and DH no later than 6:30 we really don't mind.

On weekends, DH can't sleep past 5:30 am so he gets up with DS.

7:10 am - lol....They aren't allowed out of their rooms before 7am. Somehow both my 5 and 7 yr old get up at 7:10 most days.

My kids like their sleep. My DDs are 6 and 3... They share a room. They are put to bed around 7:30, and are usually asleep by 8:30. They usually get up around 8, but there are mornings that they will sleep as late as 9 or 9:30!! During the school year I wake them at 7:30.

6:30 at the latest. We tell her she can't leave her room & has to hang in there quietly until 7:00am, most mornings she does this but some mornings it's hard for her and she protests earlier.

Right around 7:00, plus or minus fifteen minutes. On the rare occasion they sleep later I am so shocked!

No difference between school year and summer. My DD's up between 6:15 and 6:50. But, she gets up and entertains herself - and can do so till 8 or 9 if need be!

During the school year I wake DS up at 6:30- his bus picks up at 7:20. Now I let him sleep and he's usually up on his own between 7:30-8:00 and doesn't have to be at camp until 9:00.
My little man is the problem, he's up between 6:30-7:00 almost every day. If I'm lucky he may sleep until 7:30-8:00- but that's a rare treat.

During the school year I wake him up at 7-7:30. DD gets up around 8.

Over the summer they get up around 7:30-8. No real difference. DS is always up early and he usually wakes up DD. He's a great sleeper though and she wants to be up 24/7.

DS is 6 and bus comes at around 8:50am. He usually wakes up around 7:45am on normal school days.

in bed btwn 7:30 and 8:30pm and wakes up btwn 7 and 7:30

ds gets up between 7:15-8:30 am needs to be up for camp by 8:30. once school starts he will need to be up at 6:30

DD will be 6 next month and DS just turned 5. They both go to bed at 830 (or at least in their room to go down) and are up between 6-7 most days.

I haven't changed them to a summer schedule.

School year- Bed between 7:30 and 8:00 and I wake them up by 7am

Summer- Bed between 8 and 9 and usually wakes by 7:30 if his brother doesnt wake him before then.

Weekends they love to be up by 8am!

My 6 year old will wake up anywhere between 7:30-8:30, and occasionally even later. During the school year he has to be up by 8:00 to catch the bus by 8:45.

DS goes to a 6 week summer program at his pre-k, so, times don't change.
He's in bed by 8-815 and up between 6-630.
In Sept. when he starts Kindergarten, I'll probably have to make sure he's up by 6.

During the school year, my 6 year old has to be up at 6:30 to get to school on time. During the summer, it's never the same time. Some mornings she will sleep till 9am and others, she's up at 7.

WOW!!! I can't believe these early birds! My DD is 6 and during the school year she is usually in bed at 9-9:30 and I get her up at 8. During the summer, she loves playing with her cousins so usually doesn't go to sleep til 10-10:30 (some nights even later ) and then gets up anywhere between 9 and 11!! She thinks she is a teenager!!!

I'm going to have to start an earlier routine this week 'cause she's starting swimming lessons every day at 10, so she needs to be up by 9. She's gonna hate me!

During the school year I work so my children have to wake up at 7, so in the summer Id love for them to sleep in. It would be great if I could sleep later too.

My oldest has Tourettes and ADHD and tics all night long. He never seems to get a good sleep so he is up by 6 about every day in the summer. He gets bored and wakes up others on purpose. Im SO tired. My other 2 would sleep to 8 or 8:30 if they were left alone. I say never wake a sleeping child. They need it.
