Does anyone here see / used to see dr. Victor Klein in Great Neck?
What do you think of him? Do you feel like he gives you enough time and listens to you when you are in the exam room or do you feel like he is always rushing through it? Just in general are you happy with him and his office? Also if you have seen other drs in the group who did you like pthe best and who would you recommend?
Thanks

I don't personally use him, but I have at least 3 friends who have used him and love him! I know that doesn't help you much ... but I just thought I'd let you know, anyway.

He's my OB and I LOVE him!! He is probably the most competent physician I have ever met. He's also quirky and crazy and I love that about him
However, I believe I know what you're getting at. When I first met him we were at the other practice (Sadaty was my OB) and I had 2 appts with him and HATED him! I felt rushed, like he couldn't give me the time of day. Then I had some very serious complications at the end of my pregnancy with DS1 and he was the physician I was able to get in and see. As soon as there was a 'problem' he was WONDERFUL. Like literally could-not-have-been-better wonderful - I couldn't believe it was the same man.
I've realized that those quick appts are GREAT - it means everything is going exactly as it should go. He's a perinatologist - one of the foremost in LI - and knows problems. Those are the folks he has to spend the time with so I am actually always grateful for the rushed appts with him - means everything is fine.
FM if you have any questions - this is my third child with him at the helm; I even left the original practice to go with him and Nimaroff when they split, switching to him as my primary OB.

Dr. Klein delivered my first. I love him. Believe me if something was wrong, he would NOT rush through the appointment. I never felt rushed.

Re: Does anyone here see / used to see dr. Victor Klein in Great Neck?
i started with his practice at the beginning of this pregnancy. so far ive seen him 3 times. the last time i have to say, i did feel a bit rushed, but im wondering if he was maybe delivering babies the night before, because he looked tired. That being said it was fine, he answered my questions, he just didnt seem as laid back as my first 2 visits. Ive seen nimaroff once, and he seemed fine and alkasab and gilbert both seemed very nice as well.
In general, i like this practice much better than the the drs i used for my daughter (bayside ob/gyn). Dr. Kleins office has been much more informative. When i found out i was pregnant with my daughter the bayside practice didnt give/or tell me anything. However, at Kleins office they gave me a whole packet with dos and donts and samples of prenatals and such. im kind of sad that i wasnt with this office from the get go.

Re: Does anyone here see / used to see dr. Victor Klein in Great Neck?
ive been going to that practive for a long time. Dr Klein delivered my daughter in Aug 2009 - I am seeing him for this pregnancy. I do feel that my visits are quick when everything is ok - but what more do I need if everything is ok. Anytime I have questions - he always sees me in his office after the exam, listens to me and answers my questions. ive been monitored closely this pregnancy (ive been going every 2 weeks) because of a proceudere i had on my cervix last june; ive had spotting etc etc. and i never felt rushed or like he didnt care. i think he is one of the best. i always recommend him and the practice to everyone. he delivered my sisters son and my cousins preemies.

He is great! I used Dr. Gilbert, but then I started having symptoms of preeclampsia so I saw Dr. Klein. He was the one to send me to the hospital to be monitored and he also made the decision to deliver me. Dr. Gilbert performed my c-section, but I saw Dr. Klein when i was discharged and helped me wean off the blood pressure meds I was on. He is wonderful!

Does anyone here see / used to see dr. Victor Klein in Great Neck?
Love, Love, Love Dr. Klein. I used him for my last pregnancy after having 3 pregnancy losses and 2 high risk pregnancies. I was upset that I wasn't able to see him personally at each of my appointments but I soon go over that when I realized that I was in very good hands. I like all the other doctors except for Dr. Nimeroff, he made me nervous for some reason. I only wanted Dr. Klein to perform my c-section and he was away during my 39th week so opted for a 2nd amnio in my 38th week just so I could have my c-section performed by him. I now see him at my gyn and he has always given me all the attention that I needed and taken all of my issues very seriously. He is very quick and to the point so I suggest if you have a lot of questions to write them down and bring them with you so you won't forget to ask him about everything.

Will never recommend him to anyone , terrible experience overall. A know heis one of the best, but ... But I'm glad u were/r happy with him .

Re: Does anyone here see / used to see dr. Victor Klein in Great Neck?
I know this reply is late-so I don't know if you will see this but I had to reply. Without going into the horrible details this doctor is very well known and you will never find bad things on his record because he is an expert at fighting lawsuits-other doctors even contract him to fight their lawsuits...there are several stories of him giving incompetent care to patients that I know of personally (mine and 3 other people that I discovered) which resulted in the death of their babies-either through his negligence or as a direct result of his actions.
If you had a great experience with him great for you but there are those of us that have to live with the effects of his neglect for the rest of our lives.......
