16 month old DD climbed out of crib last night!
I have it as low as it will go and I don't have the type with 1 lower side. She is like a little monkey! WT H do I do now I can't imagine her sleeping in a bed yet!

16 month old DD climbed out of crib last night!
We have 14m DD in a bed already with a rail - she can climb out. She hated the crib so we took the front off. It has only been about a week but so far it has been fine. Not sure what else you can do - seems safer than her getting out of the crib!

DS started climbig out at 13 months,i put him in twin bed with side rails and a pressure gait across his doorway. he did good & it was much safer for him

Ugh. I remember now that DS did this at around 2 and then didn't try again for like a year so I'm praying she follows in his footsteps. Unfortunately they are like night and day so i think I'm going to have to start preparing myself for the worst. This is just going to be so hard because my kids share a room. I can just see her climbing on his bed and causing havoc!

When this happened to my friend, her husband took the brackets off and was able to attach them lower than the lowest setting and it bought her some extra time.

Luckily she didn't try again yet. She was teething badly when she did it so I'm hoping the jump was due to temporary insanity from the pain! I thought about the tent but I've read some things that says they aren't safe. Oh well, for now I'll keep her in her crib until she starts doing it again.

We bought another 2 months by using sleep sacks then she figured out how to propel herself over without using her legs. So we turned it into a daybed.
Now she is focused on gate climbing.
