Postpartum knee problems?
I've never had problems with my knees until after DS was born. He's almost 4 months old. I thought it was from all the weight I gained but I've lost all my pregnancy weight and they're still bothering me. Basically, I have a hard time standing up from a kneeling position or when I'm sitting on the floor. I feel a lot of pressure in my knees and they hurt. Anyone else experience this? Is this normal? Will this go away? Thanks!

Re: Postpartum knee problems?
having that same issue now in my right knee and I've actually lost weight since pre-preggo (15.5 weeks pregnant now)...
it even gets to the point that if I have my knee bent for too long, I have excruciating pain! Only my right knee

Re: Postpartum knee problems?
Oh my gosh I'm glad you posted this! My DD is almost 11 months old, and my knees have been KILLING ME for the past month or so. I lost my pregnancy weight and then some, but every time I bend now, and then when I stand back up, I'm in pain. I actually told my DH the other day that I think I'm getting arthritis in my knees!

Postpartum knee problems?
i have this too. i think itsfrom holding the babies then bending down to pick something off the floor or multi task. in adition the 55 lbs i gained from my twin pregnancy didnt help either on my knees. ive lost all the weight but i think the damage is done

Re: Postpartum knee problems?
My right knew frequently hurts, esp after sleeping. Very tight, hurts to bend, etc.
More than that though my wrists and feet are KILLING me. It feels like I have the bones of a 100 year old.
I am actually going to a hand specialist in thursday. I know it is from pregnancy but I am starting to get worried that if I dont do something soon the damage will be irreversible.
But yes, I have many postpartum bone and muscle problems it seems.

Re: Postpartum knee problems?
I also have knee problems and it seems to be getting worse at 9 months pp, especially when playing on the floor with DD. I have had issues from doing high impact aerobics years ago and I put it down to old age.

Re: Postpartum knee problems?
Yes I developed a condition called IT band syndrome..... so painful. Worst pain is when I sleep. I got a cortizone shot and that worked miracles. It came back, so I went to physical therapy and that worked.. went away for 3 years and now all of a sudden its back. there are stretches you can do that also help.
