Accupuncture
I tried it for the first time last night, I think it was good? I don't know. I was hoping to relieve stress but I could not relax. Anyone else do it? Does it take a few times to make a difference?

Re: Accupuncture
I've been using it for lower back pain. Immediately during my first session, I felt relief, but the next morning, it was back to my usual pain. I had my second session last night and it seems that the relief is lasting longer and longer.....

Re: Accupuncture
I did it for infertility. The first person I went to (just went once), i did not like. I just couldn't relax.... I didn't like the guy... the atmosphere.... it just wasn't comfortable. I actually gave up on acu for a few months after that, until I found someone else who I REALLY liked! I went to him for about a year and found it helped a ton. I actually may go back in the next few weeks around my surrogate's transfer just to take the edge off.
Let me know if you need a rec, he's in Rockville Center.

Depends on your insurance. Mine does not cover acupuncture, regardless of what it's for. I have GHI.

Re: Accupuncture
Mine has been a lifesaver. I go to him for allergies/sinus problems. Before going to him, I was on four or five different OTC meds like Zyrtec to try and "get by". Even on them, I was still not feeling relief. After going to him, almost immediately, I was off all of my meds and I used to suffer from chronic sinus infections - since going to him, I have not had a single one in over two years. I used to average 5 or 6 a year!
I cannot recommend him enough - he is in Bayshore and several of my relatives have gone to him for everything from knee pain, to back pain, to infertility, etc. His name is Bert Gordy and his number is: 516.816.5897
