Was I wrong? Opinions, please.
So I think I've mentioned that our little guy has had some dog aggression. We had a bad episode last week, so I contacted a trainer who comes highly recommended by others who adopted from the same organization that Ozzie came from.
We did a session today and it was fantastic. I called our dog walker to tell her about the new routine we are implementing. I think she was a bit peeved that I used a trainer who wasn't her.
Background: She has been walking Ozzie since we got him and walked our previous furbaby before. We love her. She has mentioned in passing that she does some behavior work, but as far as I know isn't an accredited trainer or anything like that. We trained Ozzie all on our own for the most part. I've told her about Ozzie's aggression issues and she has said that she really doesn't see it on walks with her, so it didn't really occur to me to use her for training. I really wanted a fresh set of eyes, and I figured since he knows her it wouldn't work as well. She didn't say anything but I sensed that she wasn't thrilled. I feel badly but honestly I needed to do what was best for us. Do you think I was wrong?

To mention something in passing to me is just conversation.... to flat out say "Hey I do training, and if you need any please consider me" is another story.
You were not wrong at all.

Even if she did, you have every right to shop around and pick a good trainer for behavior. Putting a leash on a dog and cleaning up poop is different than handling aggression.
