breech baby??

Has anyone been breech at their 30 week sono? I was, but now i'm 36w 2d, and I still feel the same. I don't think she has turned at all! I'm just wondering if you know when they turn, or if it feels different when they kick when the are head down? I start internals tomorrow...

breech baby??

I was breech at 28 weeks and the OB felt the head still breech at 30 weeks. I go back at 32 weeks tomorrow and am hoping he's turned. I've felt an insane amount of movement over the past few days, whereas before I rarely ever felt him at all. I've been doing all the tricks for baby spinning I could find online, too. If he's not turned this week, my next step (in theory) is to go see a chiro / acupuncturist to try to get him to turn, which I've read is extremely successful. I will do anything in my power that's considered safe to avoid a cs (I already have had a natural vbirth and less than 2 years ago). I'll let you know after I find out if he's turned whether all the different movement has meant anything. You might already know by then, though!

Re: breech baby??

My son was head down at 30 week Sono but on my first internal she knew he had to be breech by what she felt. So they repeated sono for position and he was footling breech where he stayed till 39 week csection.

Re: breech baby??

My baby is Frank Breech and I am scheduled for a c-section this afternoon. The baby can turn up until your due date. Mine won't turn due to fibroids in the way.

Re: breech baby??

Both my first DS and this baby were breech since 28 weeks. Never turned although some babies can turn at any point. I'm 37w2d and had a position sonogram last week and this baby is still frank breech. It is in the exact same position as my first. I was told that I would feel it if he/she turned.

If the baby is in the breech position, you should look into the Webster technique to avoid a possible c-section: http://greatneckfamilywellness.com/webster-technique/

breech baby??

My baby was head down until 39+ weeks, and then turned breach--- I DEFINITELY felt him turn. I thought I was having contractions, b/c my belly got so tight and hard, but that was baby going transverse. I did moxibustion/accupuncture (only one treatment since so close to my dd), then had a successful external version. Feel free to FM me if you want more info. GL!

breech baby??

So I went today and my ob "thinks" DS is still breech. But he's not sure. I spoke to the midwife at the practice and she gave me a whole load of ideas for more techniques on baby spinning (I'm already doing a bunch of yoga stuff to get him to turn) and at my next appointment they're going to do an u/s and then she's going to refer me to a chiro and an acupuncturist. She'd even do a version if we wanted to try. I'm going to see the midwife at my practice from now on because my OB doesn't really care if I have to have a cs and I DO!!!! And the midwife is totally on my side with this.

I'm 32 w 3 d today and my next appointment is 34 w 3 d so I still have plenty of time and he's got tons of room to wiggle around in there (thanks to my daughter paving the way lol).

Anyway that's my update.

Thanks for the responses/ update... I went to the dr today, and she said she's pretty sure the baby is head down, but when I questioned it, she said right away..."well we will schedule a sono just to be sure" So i guess she's not 100%. So now the wait begins until Friday!

breech baby??

My DD turned breech at 36 weeks and I def felt it, I thought I was in labor. She did not turn and I had a c/s at 39 weeks. DD#2 is also presenting breech at 30 weeks, I have my 32 week appt on Monday but her position doesnt feel very different to me. I keep asking if having one breech baby makes me more likely to have a second but the consensus is no. I am hoping she will turn, may give the acupuncture a try. Either way as long as she is born healthy, its all the same to me :) I had an all natural vbirth with DS but had a 4th degree tear so that recover wasnt that much better than the c/s lol.

Re: breech baby??

My daughter was breached at 30 weeks and turned by my 36 weeks appointment. I don't remember actually feeling her turn but she misbehaved in there almost my whole pregnancy, kicking, pushing my organs around, so who knows, I might have just missed it.Chat Icon
