Whooping Cough Shot
Anyone going to get the whooping cough shot?
I am definitely getting the flu shot. Just not sure what to do about the whooping cough shot.

Whooping Cough Shot
Yes, DH and I are both getting the whooping cough shot. I will get it in the hospital when I deliver, and he is going to get it from his primary dr before baby is born. We're also both getting the flu shots, but we get those every year.

Yes, I've heard it's super important now. Apparently there were a couple babies that died at stony brook in the last couple years, and I have a cousin who is a postpartum nurse at another hospital, one of her kids' friends got whooping cough, and now has lung scaring etc. so she advised me to get it!

I got it with my last child. It's very important now with the recent rise in whooping cough due to un vaccinated children spreading it.

I just got it today at my 36 week appt.
My OB said that it's good to get it now, as it can pass through the placenta...?
