Has anyone ever contacted the company, Summer infant, regarding their video monitor?
Did they do anything for you? It was bought 2 years ago. I got it for my shower and didn't put the twins in their room until they were 8 months. So I've only used it for 14 months. For a few months now its been freezing, the screen goes in and out and the battery on the monitor does not last more than 30-60 minutes. Is it worth me calling the company? Will they do anything for me?

I had very similar problems, after about a year and a half. Unfortunately they will not do anything after the year warranty. They will give you a loyalty price on a new one, which is almost 1/2 off. They also do not sell just the handheld, which is annoying.

Yes, their customer service is awesome! As PP said, they can't replace it free after the 1 year warranty, but they will give you a discounted price on a new one.

I got a new battery and a charger for free and my monitor is over 2 years old.
Call and ask. They are really good there. They didn't even ask me about my warranty.

We had ours for two years and from what I recall in 2010 or 2011 we got a notice that the battery was recalled so they sent us a replacement battery, you should see if its that.

They couldn't do anything since it's not under warranty. So I'm stuck with this piece of crap that always has static, volume cuts in & out (like there is a short) & the battery goes dead after a 20min nap!

That's not right... it should last longer than that. I wasn't happy with the customer service girl I got when I realized my talkback button didn't work. They were going to replace unit, but they wanted me to ship it back first. I told them I needed a monitor, so I would need them to ship it to me. Her response was, "Ma'am... a monitor shouldn't take the place of going in to check on your child." That's funny... kind of thought that's exactly what they were for! That's why I was willing to pay almost $300 for it!
I ended up returning mine to Buy, Buy Baby , who replaced it without a problem!  THEY rock!!!

The video part went on mine and is over a year. I had to provide a receit- which I didn't have- but since it was on my registry, I just had to provide the link for it. Then I had to send to them. I sent it on Sept. 13th and the new one should be arriving Thursday. I had a back up monitor (without a video) so it's not a big deal. I should have tried buy buy baby first.

Wait, so buy buy baby took your monitor back with no problem? No packaging or anything? I wonder if they'll take it back being that they don't sell this model anymore.

I emailed them once since I had problems with my monitor but was also 2+ yrs old. I don't think these things last very long unfortunately. They made a suggestion but certainly weren't sending me anything for free, I'm going to guess that is how they handle any complaints...

Same here. I was having the same issues and they sent me out a new charger. It has been fine ever since.
