Receiving Blankets

What do I need these for?

I got some, but I also got some of the lightweight swaddling blankets. Are these the same thing? Do I need both?

Receiving Blankets

DS was a preemie, and we had to deal with the winter cold & flu season too so I always had clean ones so whoever was holding him would have it as a barrier between their clothes and DS's face/body. You can use them to swaddle too.

Re: Receiving Blankets

I got a bunch of hand-made knit blankets and larger soft blankies and they are nice to keep her warm while holding her or when I put her in her swing. The swaddle blankets are nice but she doesn't like being swaddles and they aren't that warm. Oh and ps - def return any gerber flannel ones they stink!!!

Aden & Anais muslin swaddlers (a 4 pack) are really all you need. They're great for everything -- swaddling, using in the stroller or car seat, rolling up into a U shape around their head when they're really small for in the car seat.
