How many receiving/washcloths blankets do you really need?

I had a shower at work and I received a few packages of each already and I registered for a few packs too.

If I end up with 10 packs of each isn't that too much?

I would return some. I ended up with A LOT of recieving blankets (and even got a few from the hosptial) Plus we had people make us blankets and give us other blankets, its insane. I would say maybe 5 recieving blankets and you'll end up with some from the hospital

Wash clothes I also have a lot of I think I would only need about 5 or so because I do laundry constantly and DS only gets a bath everyother day. I onl use 2 washcloths for a bath

I'd say about 4-5 receiving blankets.

I like a ton of washcloths. I have about 20. I use two for the bath as an infant, and as they get older, it's just easier to grab one to wash hands/face after dinner, wipe up drool, etc. Plus, my DD loved to gum on frozen washcloths when she was teething. And it's good to have a fresh pack for when the old ones get grungy.
