Getting back on track!

I had my baby last Wednesday and its finally time to get back on track. I gained 60lbs during my pregnancy so I have a way to go!
I started tracking my food today (I'm on WW) and I am not used to it at all. I feel so hungry and have not been planning well. This is going to take some time.
I have quite a few weeks to go before I can start exercising (I had a csection) but I can't wait to get back at it again!!

Looking forward to being back on this board more frequently with such a supportive group Chat Icon

Enjoy the time with your baby! You will lose the weight and get back in shape..... But you will never get this time back with your little one! Enjoy this time and give yourself a break! You just had him! Trust me! I was the same way!!!

I Agree. Don't sweat it (no pun intended. Lol) you'll feel like yourself again in no time and drop the weight.

I felt the same way after. You'll be amazed at how quickly you can get back into shape; I know I was. You were in great shape before so I really don't think you'll have any trouble getting back there. Your body just somehow knows how to snap right back!!! I think I'm in better shape now than before I was pregnant!!!! I truly believe that pregnancy and childbirth only made me stronger!!!!! Chat Icon

But don't worry, give it time and enjoy your LO! It goes so fast!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations btw!!!

Congratulations Colleen!!

Don't worry about the weight and getting back in shape just yet. You did it before and you will do it again.

Re: Getting back on track!

Thank you for the support and awesome advice!!

I'm trying hard not to obsess- I did that too much before I was pregnant! It's a little hard dealing with the body changes (but then I look at my DS and its all worth it).

I'm just trying not to drive myself crazy but still eat healthier while having a newborn!

Congrats on the your baby boy Colleen, he is beautiful! It will be hard to get back into the swing of things but you were in ridiculous shape before and so disciplined, you will be back there in no time!

Getting back on track!

Congratulations! You just had the baby a week ago (C/S no less) so your body needs time to heal. I had a C/S too and I was literally dropping 3-4lbs a day because of the fluid leaving my body. I would not start tracking right now. WW wants you to wait until you get the all clear from you doc before starting anything anyway.

Re: Getting back on track!

Congrats of your little boy! I understand the feeling of wanting to get your body back ASAP! There is nothing wrong with eating healthy now. Just remember, it will take time. So much you can't control right now (excess blood/fluids, swollen uterus).
