breastfeeding in the hospital- boppy or my breast friend?

I only have one boppy right now but I figure I won't be tandem nursing so soon so there's no need to bring the MBF to the hospital. Thoughts?

I didnt get to BF in the hospital bc my girls were in the nicu, so my experience was a little different.
the twin MBF is awesome, but like wearing a table and I couldnt imagine lugging that through the hospital. On the other hand, I hated nursing with a boppy in the beginning. It offers very little support, or I should say the MBF offers much more support.
I do know many twin moms who tandem fed their babies in the hospital. With all of the extra hands and experts around it could be a good time to try.

I dont know if that was helpful at all. lol just my thought based on my experiences.

that is very helpful! i guess ill tell dh to pack the MBF and leave it in the car in case we decide to use it.

I didn't bring anything for nursing in the hospital. I nursed them separately except for one occasion where a really nice nurse got them to latch at the same time and just propped me/the babies with lots of pillows.

I'd just ask the hospital for extra pillows to help with support. This way you aren't getting anything you own all germy

I used the boppy in the hospital. My twins were in the NICU so I was breastfeeding in a really uncomfortable metal chair until they went to the step down unit. The boppy helped alot.

I wasn't ready to tandem nurse them anyway. But leaving it in the car is a great idea.

I brought a boppy but got frustrated with it (and didn't find it helpful for breastfeeding even at home but I know I am in the minority). Using my own pillow in the hospital (and at home) was most useful since it conformed to whatever position i mushed it into.

I used my boppy in the NICU all of the time. I actually kept one there. I didn't tandem BF except maybe 1 time. Even once I got home, I RARELY tandem BF!! I much prefer doing it separately and they have become very efficient nursers and don't take double the time at all.

I personally hated the MBF!

I used the boppy in the hospital and the breast friend double at home. I only nursed them tandem maybe once or twice in the hospital but I was only there 2 days. At home I use the breast friend all the time- LOVE it!!
