DD loves them, but wants to hold the entire wedge and doesnt want it if I cut it into little pieces. I cut the rind off and let her hold a slice, but im afraid she will bite off too much and choke...and she does actually eat it...not just suck out the juice...

What does everyone else do?

I give ds the clementines- they are small enough that I think its ok if he swallows it whole- plus no seeds is so much easier

LOL somewhat related - the other day i gave my DD an unpeeled clementine to play with cause she was pointing to it. i thought she'd think it was a ball. i turned around a minute later and she had ripped it open and was pulling out chunks and eating it. it was funny.

i usually only give her clementine slices cut in half. but shes really good at biting and eating bigger pieces, she actually prefers it, so i dont think i would hesitate to give her the whole slice.

I also give DD (23 months) clementines, but I cut each piece in half. My DD inhales food, so I'm always nervous she's going to choke!

We give clementine wedges and would give orange wedges as well.

gave oranges at 18m no problems, sometimes I peel it, sometimes I cut into wedges, he handles it just fine.

I give clementines always cut in half. My girls inhale their food so I am very paranoid about it. One of my daughters start to choke once with a big bite of food and I will never take that risk again. I watched her struggle to get it down and it's got me paranoid.
