August 2012 Mommies- time to check in!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy New Year!! I hope everyone has a wonderful & blessed year
So, DD2 is 5 months old today how did that happen?
She is currently: -sitting up unassisted (has been for 2 weeks now) -pulls to standing position if she's sitting down -'talking' a lot (even at 3 am when she wakes up ) -grabbing at EVERYTHING in her reach (including the laptop I'm currently on) -reaching for mommy & daddy to pick her up -always happy, laughing, smiling
AND: -she's starting to creep and attempting the crawl position
Now, if I could only get her to stop waking up in the middle of the night... sometimes it's once (which really isn't thaaaaaat bad but still), but sometimes it's twice (ugh, walking zombie mommy). She is also starting to realize cause and effect- like, if I start crying when mommy leaves the room, she'll come back in, and I think it's funny cause I got my way.
I have not introduced solids yet, waiting for 6 months for a variety of reasons. She is in the 90-95th percentile for height and weight (chunker!!)

Re: August 2012 Mommies- time to check in!
WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?!?!? This has seriously flown by. DD still has a week to go until she is 5 months old, but she is a whole new person lately:
-she sits up unassisted -she loves to pull her legs towards her and suck on her toes -she squeals in delight (fun for her, torture for mommy & daddy!) -grabs everything (unfortunately, she loves mommy's hair the most... I think I'm almost bald now) -creeps, well tries to but doesn't always succeed
However... she still doesn't laugh. Like at all. She makes eye contact, smiles non-stop, looks like she wants to laugh but no sound comes out... I'm dying here for a laugh!! Any BTDT moms have experience with a non-laughing child or a delayed laugher? Will she ever laugh? HELP!!
I will also be delaying solids. My pediatrician even said to wait until 8 months. Not sure I will wait that long, but I will see. My DD is also chunky and over the 95th percentile for weight and height. Last time she was measured she was only 23 inches but 14 pounds 1 ounce.

Re: August 2012 Mommies- time to check in!
Hi girls!
My little big guy is 4.5 months and is laughing and cooing up the storm. He is just starting to attempt to roll over but sitting is nowhere in sight. My oldest was 6 months when he first sat up. I'm still ebf since its been going so well but he wakes up through the night to nurse. I'm attempting to introduce formula at night since I'm going back to work on Monday He's such an adorable munchkin but so different from his big brother, so much more needier. It was an adjustment and still is.
