Moms that stopped pumping...
How did you stop? My DS is turning 1 next week. I have been EP. I am finally down to only 2 pump sessions a day. I tried to drop to 1 and it was really painful so I went back to 2. What is the best way to stop? I am going away with my girlfriends the first week in Feb and would like to be 100% weened by then.
Also, did anyone notice an immediate weight gain when they dropped pump sessions? I put on 3lbs this week. I am not over eating and started dieting as I weened. Any other advice or tips?
TIA

I'm not there yet, but I was told that when you are near the end to slowly drop the amount of time you are pumping. So if the pump you want to drop is the evening one and you usually do 30 min, do 20 min for a few days then 10 for a few days etc..
I'm in the process as well. Good luck!

Re: Moms that stopped pumping...
I stopped pumping in the morning at work because I was started to feel hatred towards breast feeding. Pumping was consuming all my time that I had to myself. Then I had to stop pumping at lunch because I started working through my lunch hour. Then I had to stop pumping in the morning because my brother moved onto my couch because of that w-hore Sandy. I had no where else to pump.
I think it depends on what time of day you try to give up first. There was no way I could have given up morning first. I was always FULL in the morning.
I REALLLLLLY don't miss the pump.
