LI half marathon?
How is it? I'm looking for feedback. Are any of you signed up for this? I'm considering signing up for my next race!

I've done the half twice, and the full once. I know a lot of people find the course boring but I really enjoy it (except the full which actually is boring)! It's in early May so it's not too cold out anymore & it's pretty flat. The crowds are pretty energetic too, lots of spectators. I've always enjoyed this race.

I really enjoy it. I don't find it boring either. There are always so many runners around to keep you company as well.
I've been doing it since the mid-90s and the course used to be awful! (most on the Wantagh lie the full) that was boring!

It's local, pretty easy to get in and out, very flat course. Crowds are there for a good portion. I personally have become a little bored with it only because I've been running the Brooklyn Half the past few years which falls about 2 weeks after LI and is such an awesome course and so cool to run! It's definitely a good course if you're looking to improve on your first HM - I just wish they could expand the course to go through some new areas, looping that Coliseum area just doesn't do it for me!!

I ran it last year and found the course pretty boring but there are a lot of runners and spectators. Its fun at the finish area.

We ran it 3 year ago and it was my first "race". DH felt the course was boring. The year we ran it was rainy so there wasn't as many supporters so I imagine if there were it would have been more.

i've done it twice and opted not to sign up this year because i felt like i wanted to try a different race. it wasn't a terribly boring race and for your first i think it's a good one :) i'm doing the allstate half in flushing march 23. i'd like to into the brooklyn half too

It's a nice event every year. A bit crowded but very nice. I always enjoy it.
