5 y/o birthday party

My twins are turning five in March. We used to have parties at our house with our families, which was 35+ people. Now that they are in school, they want friends to be included, which would add about 22 people including the parent. I no longer have room for all those people in my house.

1) If I have it at a kids place, do I still invite all the above people since there would be no other party and I want my family involved?
2) Should I have a family party at my house and a separate party for kids only at a kid place?

Any advice would be helpful. Last September I had my other daughters birthday at Chuck E Cheese and only invited some family and friends and feelings got hurt.

These parties all around are expensive, but I love celebrating events. My DH not so much. WWYD?????

Thank You.

Small party at home for immediate family only. And then a separate kid party. That's exactly how we do it because DH has tons of aunts, uncles and cousins. Our immediate parents, siblings and their SO is already 14 people.

That's exactly how we do it. Because in our immediate family (grandparents, siblings and their kids) there are 23 people alone.

We try to do kids' party from like 12-2:30 (always an end time...even at home Chat Icon ) then the families come around 3 or 4. All on the same day.
