Can I send DD to school?

She went to school today, was complaining of ear pain...she came home early today, brought her to doctor and she has an ear infection. No fever or symptoms other than minor ear pain earlier today. She has already had 1 dose of augmentin and will get another tomorrow morning. She also had some wheezing from a lingering cough, but dr. wants to see how she does on antibiotics first without the nebulizer. Do you think she can go to school tomorrow?

Yes absolutely! No fever = school in my book. Ear infections aren't contagious, only the coleus. If every kid stayed home for a duration of a cold classrooms would be relatively empty all winter.

I would send her to school. Also, I love Hylands ear infection medicine...

Awesome! My school nurse would probably say to keep her home, but really, she seems fine right now. Thanks!

I'd send her too. Fever free & on an antibiotic, I'd say she was fine to go.

Definitely bc an ear infection is not contaigious. What caused it might be but if your DC is fever free and feels up to going no reason not to. Also they don't always give antibiotics for ear infections so that doesn't effect anything.
