That's awesome!! Good for you I also absolutely love my SK, I have 1 SD (16) and 1 SS (17) and I am so lucky, they're awesome. Sadly, that's not usually the case.
Very happy for you. Good luck to you in TTC! DH and I are hoping to try towards the end of this year.

Re: does anyone here LOVE their step kids?
This is pretty much how I feel. I hate to say it but sometimes I'm so resentful of BM and the strain she puts on my life, DH's life and our marriage that it makes me wish they would all just go away. I know that's not nice to say. That plus my SD being a witchy tween is a tough thing to deal with.
I couldn't have said it better myself!

I wish I could say yes. His BM has made it impossible for him to even want to have any relationship with me or his half sister. Not only am I a stepmom but also a BM as my boys have a stepmom. I really like her and vice versa and my boys have a very healthy relationship with her and I encourage it. But thats because Im secure as their mom. Obviously my stepsons mother is very immature. Its very sad and does cause fights in my marriage unfortunately.

Re: does anyone here LOVE their step kids?
Nope, cant stand the lil b@stard
Seriouly, I love him. Has he been a serious pain my @ss - YES and when he was younger i thought we would never have that connection or bond (he was 6) when i started dating his dad. Maybe because he is a boy and they are mommas boys but now he is 15 and I feel like I can relate to him and we have a great relationship. I guess it was a learning experience for all of us. we were all young and didnt know wtf we were doing. ahh i miss my 20's.
God forbid anything would happen to my DH, i would make sure his son is taken care of. And now that I have a son, I realize I treat them both the same and love them equally. I was always worried about that.
