Another reading question

DS is a very good reader. How do I determine his reading level? He is only 4, so he is in pre-K. I asked his teacher, but she didn't know. She only had an educated guess.

I teach first and we have special books we use to determine their reading level. It is based on accuracy, fluency and comprehension. Remember that he also has to understand what he is reading not just be able to read the words. Is he able to andwer questions about the book? (no just recall questions) Do you have any teacher friends who teach lower grades who may be able to brong the books home and test him?

Re: Another reading question

Yes, he understands what he is reading and can answer questions. I do know someone that can test him, so I will ask her, thanks.
